RFP for Survey and Legal Description at Walnut Creek Habitat and Open Space
WCA is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for survey services and creation of legal descriptions of portions of two contiguous properties for the purpose of a Lot Line Adjustment.
Deadline Extended: RFP for Broom Removal Field and Specialist Crews at Mount Baldy Wilderness Preserve
WCA has extended the deadline for the RFP for broom removal services at WCA’s Mount Baldy Wilderness Park until July 7, 2022, 5 pm. Respondents may apply for either or both of the following designated roles:
Field Crew. The selected Field Crew Respondent(s) will conduct the bulk of the field work and will have expertise with youth development, education, and/or job training.
Specialist Crew. The selected Specialist Crew Respondent(s) will have expertise with invasive species removal. Specialist crew will provide training and oversight of field crews to eradicate broom from upstream areas of the preserve, and oversee monitoring and mapping.
RFP for Stewardship and Engagement Workshop Leaders
WCA is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify workshop leaders to partner with on a series of planning workshops on the topic of Stewardship and Engagement in relation to WCA’s Azusa Foothills Open Space lands. These workshops will take place on WCA’s Azusa Foothills Open Space lands on the south facing side of Glendora Ridge, which may be accessed for the purposes of this project via a guided .75 mile hike of approximately 12% grade.

Senior Project Manager
The WCA has an open full-time hire position for a Senior Project Manager. The full job description is available here.
Under the general direction of the Executive Officer or designee, this full-time position will organize, plan, develop, and implement projects that provide open space, habitat restoration, and watershed improvement for both the San Gabriel River and the Lower Los Angeles River. Provide leadership with the implementation of organizational goals and values as they relate to park management and planning and with overall program administration; perform related duties as assigned.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, retirement, vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
