The 39-member group was appointed by California Secretary of Natural Resources John Laird to update the Los Angeles County LA River Master Plan. The first two meetings addressed engaging communities in a meaningful way, addressing the issue of water quality, and identifying funding for projects. The group will continue to meet monthly in different cities throughout Southeast Los Angeles to develop a vision for the Los Angeles River and tributaries.
