El Encanto Azusa River Wilderness Park

The Watershed Conservation Authority in collaboration with the City of Azusa purchased the former El Encanto Restaurant site in the City of Azusa in February 2006 for inclusion into the planned Azusa River Wilderness Park. This 40-acre property is located along Highway 39 in San Gabriel Canyon near the city's northern boundary. The location of the property can be viewed on a map. An aerial photo shows the purchased site (the lower area bounded in yellow) and potential future acquisition (upper area bounded in yellow).

A Master Plan has now been prepared for the Watershed Conservation Authority. This Master Plan consists of Site Programming, Site Planning and overall Site Concept Development. Download the Master Plan (253 page, 16.3 mb PDF file)
